This pattern is exhibited here on a slightly indented plate with molded border and was printed in blue and colored in underglaze . It is pattern number 253 from Spode's B Pattern Book. The border, perhaps the most interesting aspect of this pattern, consists of a thin outer geometric border that surrounds a few floral groupings printed on a molded rim. The latter is, in turn, framed by an inner border of geometric and floral shapes. The term New Faience found in the printed mark refers to a type of ceramic body used with this pattern.
