Spode's ever-popular Italian pattern is printed in underglaze blue on this pierced eathenware basket with accompanying pierced earthenware stand.  With a border copied from a Chinese original and a center based on a Claude Lorraine pastoral landscape of 1638, these pieces comprise an imposing addition to any table.  Note the attractive view when seen from above.  Click on the image to enlarge it.
