Pierced Basket and Stand

Description:

The chestnut basket and stand are printed in blue underglaze in the Buddleia pattern.  The stand has a pierced border with a molded basket weave and inner honeycomb border which is repeated on the rim of the basket. The basket is a fine example of skilled hand-molded work.  Click on the image below to enlarge a view of the interior of the basket.
