Flying Pennant I

Description:

This earthenware indented soup dish is printed in blue underglaze in the Flying Penant Ipattern.  The name was taken from the pennant on the vessel at the bottom of the pattern.  Overglaze enameling in red has been applied with a vermicelli design etched out in white.  The rim was enameled in brown.
