Exhibited here is an earthenware dinner plate printed in blue and colored in red to which a vermicelli pattern was added underglaze. The central pattern consists of a symmetrical design of four flower or leaf motifs separated by trailing flowers. The flowers and buds in the border have been enameled over the glaze in red and brown and the rim was enameled in brown.   This pattern is considered somewhat rare.  Examples in two other colors, blue and Payne's Grey,  are also included in this exhibition.
