Description:

This pattern is printed in blue underglaze on an earthenware vegetable tureen base.  This scene shows country people dressed as satyrs going to sacrifice a goat to the god Bacchus. Below is a view of the vegetable tureen as a whole.

This pattern was introduced in 1806.
