Description:

This "elephant folio" size aquatint, plate 30 in Oriental Field Sports, was the source for the printed pattern on an openwork bowl shown in this exhibition, as well as on a 10.63 inch comport.  The civet cat is the striped animal surrounded by dogs in the lower left quadrant of the picture.
