The Castle pattern, inspired by an 18th-century aquatint of St. Sebastian's Gate in Rome, is printed on this earthenware Double-width Cheese Cradle.  This pattern was introduced by Spode in 1806.  Shown below is a side view of the cheese cradle.   Click on it to enlarge.
