Painted MarksPainted marks were applied by painting a color onto the clayware when dry or onto the biscuit ware with a brush. These marks are usually either the decorator's marks, including transfer-printing team marks, or pattern marks. In the case of printed patterns, they are more commonly found on printed wares that have been colored in under the glaze.
